Oscars 2016: Move Over Leo, Ennio Morricone’s Waited For 37 Years To Win An Oscar

Leonardo DiCaprio’s not the only Oscar nominee who waited years for his golden statuette. 87-year-old Italian composer, Ennio Morriconne, has waited 37 years for the win. This 2016, he was honoured with the Best Original Score award at the Oscars for his work in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.


In his career, he has scored over 500 film and TV pieces and is also believed to be the oldest Oscar winner ever, Hollywood Reporter notes. He also has 100 classical works to his name and five other Oscar nominations…
