Man who stole racing credential from Patrick Dempsey gets 10 years in prison


Georgia man convicted of stealing from team trailers at Daytona International Speedway


A thief who stole itmes from team trailers and motorhomes at Daytona International Speedway in a series of thefts between 2007 and 2012 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.


One of the victims was actor and racer Patrick Dempsey. The thief, 55-year-old Steven Garry Sanders of Macon, Georgia, was found to have, among his other items, a stolen racing credential that belonged to the former star of TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”
